National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite the children to wear orange to school as a way of honoring the children who were taken from their families and placed in the residential school system. This day is a time to recognize their experiences, the hardships they endured, and the strength of survivors, families, and communities. Together, we pause to reflect, learn, and carry forward the importance of truth, healing, and reconciliation.
Terry Fox Run
TERRY FOX RUN
On Monday September 15th, 2025 we plan to participate in the Terry Fox Run! We will gather to read a book about Terry Fox, have some discussions and share the relevance Terry Fox has had on our lives today. We plan to begin our run around the track at 11:00 am.
Please ensure your children come to school in comfortable clothing and shoes to be able to participate and enjoy the experience.
First Day of School at Montessori Casa!
Dear Montessori Casa Families,
Welcome back! We are so excited to begin another year together at Montessori Casa. This past week, our team has been preparing the classrooms with care so they are ready to welcome the children with beauty, order, and joy.
The start of a new school year is always a time of transition, and we are here to support each child—and each family—as we return to the rhythms of community life. At the heart of our work is nurturing the human spirit, and we look forward to seeing the children’s joy and individuality unfold as they settle into their environments.
A quick reminder: our work cycles begin at 8:45 a.m. and the school day ends at 3:30 p.m. We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for families who need before- or after-school care. Please also review the Welcome Package email for details on what to bring, drop-off routines, and other important administrative information.
We’re grateful to be on this journey with you and look forward to a beautiful year ahead.

Please join us for a Father’s Day BBQ so we can celebrate you!
Please aim to pick up your children at 4:00 pm and head over to get some refreshments for an outdoor picnic.
Casa Parent-Teacher Meetings
Casa Parent-Teacher Meetings will take place on the evenings of June 4th, 5th and for a full day on the June 6th PA Day.
