Coffee, Tea and Montessori Morning -Parent Observation Engagement
Coffee, Tea and Montessori Morning to discuss and share our observations.
Parents who participated in classroom observations will attend our Parent Engagement for a rich discussion about observations.

Time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Parent Observations – Part Two
We will have two periods of observations for parents during the school year:
November 2nd – November 6th 2026
February 16th – 26th 2027
Parents of children attending the Casa and Elementary programs are invited to select one observation session, either in November or February.
Following the Parent Observations we will be hosting a Coffee, Tea and Montessori Morning to discuss and share our observations.
Parents who decide to participate are expected to attend our Parent Observation Engagement on February 27th 2027.

Please note at least one parent’s attendance is requested. As our partners in supporting your child’s development your participation is strongly encouraged and valuable.

We are so delighted to continue a tradition in our 5th year to support our local community of elders. During the Seniors Tea at the upstairs level of our building on December 9th 2026, Montessori Casa children will have a dress rehearsal for our Holiday Concert.
There have been many studies on intergenerational learning for both seniors and children. If your children have grandparents at home or close by, you can affirm to have witnessed a harmonious union. Children understand the importance of elders and these interactions have a calming effect on most children. Our young children will bring energy with them that can be infectious and make a tremendous impact for some elders who may not have family or anything else planned for the holidays. We feel honoured to offer some excitement and give them some joy.
At 2:40 pm we will head upstairs to perform for 15-20 minutes and head back downstairs around 3:10 p.m.

Montessori Casa will be closed for all students.
Parent -Teacher Discussions 2026
Casa and Elementary Parent-Teacher discussions will take place on the evenings of November 11th, November 12th and for a full day on the November 13th PA Day.
A registration email will be sent in advance of the date.

During the week the children will be carving pumpkins, roasting seeds, baking and reading books about the beautiful season of autumn and all the changes it brings.
In keeping with the guidelines of our AMI Montessori approach we wanted to ensure the children do not come to school in any costumes. Children and staff are invited to dress in orange and black.
Halloween can be uncomfortable and scary for children under the age of six. As educators we want to ensure we are doing all we can to meet the developmental needs of our children. Although we are able to distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy, this is almost impossible for young children under age six.
The Elementary class will participate in some more age appropriate activities. Details to follow via email.
Mealtime and Montessori – Casa
Please note at least one parent’s attendance is requested. As our partners in supporting your child’s development your participation in their journey is strongly encouraged and valuable.
“Mindful Meals and Montessori” lunch event. You will join other parents to learn about our lunchtime routine and then take part in an actual setup and mealtime together.
Time: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
