The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) was founded by Maria Montessori and her son Mario Montessori In 1929, in order to protect the integrity of Dr.Montessori’s work, AMI maintains pedagogical standards for schools and a level of excellence that Maria Montessori envisioned.
At Montessori Casa we are committed to the principles and practices of the Association Montessori Internationale and MQA. As an applicant of AMI Canada we strive to meet international standards to offer your child the most authentic Montessori experience and the best start to life.
An Authentic Montessori Program Offers

A mixed age, with three age groups (i.e. 3-6 years old) in each class

An AMI trained teacher at the appropriate age level for each class

A complete set of Montessori Materials as per the training albums

Three hours of uninterrupted work cycle in the morning and two hours of uninterrupted work cycle in the afternoon

An appropriate number of children in each class to foster social development
Programs
- We offer programs five days a week for children ages 18 months to 12 years old.
- Morning and afternoon snacks, as well as hot lunches, are included with tuition and provided by the school for children up to age 6.
- Before school programs are included with tuition and available at no additional cost.
- We operate on a school year calendar. Summer programs continue with a Montessori curriculum and are available during the summer months.
- Beginning January 2026, our Elementary Programfor children ages 6–12 years will commence, providing a seamless continuation of the Montessori journey through the elementary years.
Montessori Quality Assurance (MQA) is AMI’s quality assurance program in Canada.
