Professional Activity Day.

Montessori Casa will be closed for all students.

Casa and Elementary Parent-Teacher discussions will take place on the evenings of November 11th, November 12th and for a full day on the November 13th PA Day.

A registration email will be sent in advance of the date.

Halloween at Montessori Casa

During the week the children will be carving pumpkins, roasting seeds, baking and reading books about the beautiful season of autumn and all the changes it brings.

In keeping with the guidelines of our AMI Montessori approach we wanted to ensure the children do not come to school in any costumes. Children and staff are invited to  dress in orange and black.

Halloween can be uncomfortable and scary for children under the age of six. As educators we want to ensure we are doing all we can to meet the developmental needs of our children. Although we are able to distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy, this is almost impossible for young children under age six.

The Elementary class will participate in some more age appropriate activities. Details to follow via email.

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite the children to wear orange to school as a way of honoring the children who were taken from their families and placed in the residential school system. This day is a time to recognize their experiences, the hardships they endured, and the strength of survivors, families, and communities. Together, we pause to reflect, learn, and carry forward the importance of truth, healing, and reconciliation.
